Spectrum Cosmetics

Spectrum is a cosmetic line and advertising campaign I envisioned in response to the One Club’s Young Ones competition prompt in 2016, which focused on gender equality. In various cultures worldwide, people of multiple gender identities have historically worn makeup. Spectrum references these histories as a means of empowerment in the modern day, and encourages self-expression regardless of gender identity. The advertising campaign utilizes traditional artworks collaged with modern-day makeup looks that reflect the types or colors of makeup used by each culture.
